A message for carers in Derby City

A new service is coming on 1st April 2026

As the current Universal Services for Carers comes to an end on 31st March 2026, we want to take this opportunity to thank every carer who has connected with the service, attended groups, reached out for support, or shared their experiences. Your strength and dedication have shaped the support available in Derby and will continue to guide what comes next. From now until 31st March, there is a reduced service during the transition period however if needed, please contact 01332 228777, email carers@citizensadvicemidmercia.org.uk or visit www.derbycarers.co.uk.

Who we support

If you look after an adult in Derby who couldn’t manage without your help, you are a carer, and we’re here for you.

We support carers looking after someone with:

  • a long-term illness
  • a disability
  • mental ill health
  • addiction or substance misuse
